Two-piece systems only fit when the flange size on the pouch matches the flange size on the skin barrier. Hollister Conform 2 uses 45, 55 and 70 mm; HDL-Hendry uses 50, 60 and 70 mm. The two ranges are not interchangeable.

PRACTICAL GUIDANCE

How this product is used

Empty through the tap whenever the pouch is around a third full. Urine is heavy, and a full urostomy pouch pulls on the barrier more than most people expect. Overnight, connect the tap to a drainage bag and place the bag below bladder level so it drains by gravity.

Urine is far harder on peristomal skin than stool, so the opening should be cut close to the stoma and the seal checked carefully. Persistent redness in a ring around the stoma usually means urine is sitting on the skin, and that is worth solving quickly.

Rinse the night drainage tubing daily and change the drainage bag as advised. Crystal deposits and cloudiness are worth mentioning to your stoma nurse rather than ignoring.
