Two-piece systems only fit when the flange size on the pouch matches the flange size on the skin barrier. Hollister Conform 2 uses 45, 55 and 70 mm; HDL-Hendry uses 50, 60 and 70 mm. The two ranges are not interchangeable.
Measure the stoma, cut to the marked guide about 2 mm larger than the stoma, warm the wafer briefly, and press it on to clean dry skin. The translucent film means you can then check the skin during the wear period rather than removing the base to inspect it — which is itself one of the things that damages skin.
The 50, 60 and 70 mm figures refer to the flange, not the stoma. HDL-Hendry pouches must carry the same flange number, and HDL-Hendry flanges do not fit Hollister pouches. If you are switching between brands, both the base and the pouches change together.

It is the printed cutting guide on the wafer. You cut the opening to match your stoma anywhere in that range; the 50, 60 and 70 mm figures are the flange the pouch clicks onto, which is a separate measurement.
So you can look at the skin around the stoma without taking the barrier off. Removing a barrier just to inspect the skin is itself a common cause of irritation.
